at time way airborne forces transport artillery guns , towing vehicles air using gliders. in regiment s case airspeed horsa, piloted 2 men glider pilot regiment. wingspan of 88 feet (27 m) , length of 67 feet (20 m), horsa had maximum load capacity of 15,750 pounds (7,140 kg)—space 2 pilots, maximum of twenty-eight troops or 2 jeeps, 1 jeep, artillery gun , half ton trailer or 1 jeep 2 trailers. 1 disadvantage of being transported horsa glider, 3 artillerymen , 2 pilots carried gun.
