growing out of study sections formed in club s days, today club has fifteen ongoing member-led fora, each of meets host speakers , engage in discussion on topics including arts, bay gourmet (food , wine), asia-pacific affairs, business , leadership, environment , natural resources, grownups (second half of life issues), health , medicine, humanities, international relations, lgbt issues, middle east, personal growth, psychology, , science , technology.


an intensive @ single subject sponsored each august through club s platforum, events held daily throughout month on topic, examined perspective of many different fields. annual platforum topics have included china rising (2006), cool clear water (2007), how eat (2008), richer, poorer: surviving , thriving in great recession (2009), , ascent of woman (2010). platforum series include not lectures , discussions, meals, travel, , experiential learning such kayaking on san francisco bay (cool clear water).


inforum club s division younger community members. since founding in 2002 inforum has engaged new generation in civic discussion through lively , controversial programming.
