geography

arc-sur-tille located approximately 12 kilometres road east of dijon road d70 continues north-west magny-saint-medard. a31 autoroute passes through west of commune north south exit  4  in commune west of town. commune can accessed remilly-sur-tille in south road d34 continues north chateau d arcelot. road d961 goes east village Étevaux. apart large sized village occupying 15% of commune, rest of area entirely farmland.

the commune traversed north south tille, tributary of saône. has flooded in past, overwhelming , damaging village , crops.


the lake of arc-sur-tille, west of town, former gravel pit converted since 2002 create largest sandy beach in burgundy. popular in summer swimmers , allows many water activities (sailing, canoeing, water skiing , fishing basins reserved). lake water of excellent quality.
