kyoshirou tohdoh (藤堂 鏡志朗, tōdō kyōshirō) head of black knights military operations, , extremely talented fighter in own right. earned nickname tohdoh of miracles (奇跡の藤堂, kiseki no tōdō) singular defeat of otherwise undefeated holy britannian empire during invasion of japan, managing feat without use of knightmare frames. event later known miracle of itsukushima. childhood instructor suzaku kururugi, , 1 of few japanese people understands ideals.

nagisa chiba (千葉 凪沙, chiba nagisa) female member of holy swords of kyoto. arguably 1 of strong willed , tough characters in entire show. after 0 leaves during first black rebellion begins harbor resentment towards zero. during second season rejoins black knights after being freed zero. still has trust issues after first rebellion. after learning lelouch , geass takes part in betrayal against him , fight against lelouch when takes power. hinted attracted tohdoh.

shōgo asahina (朝比奈 省悟, asahina shōgo) male member of 4 holy swords. wears glasses , has distinctive scar down right side of face. leader of first squadron of black knights , tends tease chiba crush on todoh. chiba, develops distrust 0 following black rebellion, questioning tendency keep secrets , bring on new members such rolo , jeremiah no discussion. during second battle of tokyo, killed in blast nina s f.l.e.i.j.a. bomb, not before transmitting information 0 s massacre of geass order prove 0 can not trusted.

ryoga senba

ryōga senba (仙波 崚河, senba ryōga) oldest member of holy swords of kyoto , black knights. rest of holy swords makes first appearance in episode 9 trying repel britannian attack on jlf headquarters. senba, chiba, urabe, , asahina later free tohdoh along black knights after join group. captured after failed first rebellion rejoining black knights after being freed zero. killed gino in episode 6 of second season.

kosetsu urabe

kosetsu urabe (卜部 巧雪, urabe kōsetsu) male member of holy sword of kyoto , later black knights. first accept 0 , 1 of few escape being captured following failed first rebellion. @ start of season 2 still black knights , knows lelouch s identity not geass. when rolo attacks black knights sacrifices himself let comrades escape.
