Pyramid of Production Systems Product lifecycle
pyramid of production systems
according malakooti (2013), there 5 long-term objectives should considered in production systems:
cost: can measured in terms of monetary units , consists of fixed , variable cost.
productivity: can measured in terms of number of products produced during period of time.
quality: can measured in terms of customer satisfaction levels example.
flexibility: can considered ability of system produce variety of products example.
sustainability: can measured in terms ecological soundness i.e. biological , environmental impacts of production system.
the relation between these 5 objects can presented pyramid tip associated lowest cost, highest productivity, highest quality, flexibility, , greatest sustainability. points inside of pyramid associated different combinations of 5 criteria. tip of pyramid represents ideal (but highly unfeasible) system whereas base of pyramid represents worst system possible.
