encouraged chance luck in professional music business, diakovska decided audition 2000 debut of german reality television program popstars. entered competition thousands of other women, , judges, simone angel, rainer moslener , mario m. mendryzcki, impressed performance in hamburg. earned position in top thirty finalists , travelled majorca, spain join competitors workshop there. in end diakovska made final ten on show, , during special episode in november 2000, jury member moslener disclosed chosen become part of final girl group no angels.


with final 5 members of band in place, popstars continued tracking development , struggles of group left homes move shared flat near munich. however, took 4 months until band released debut single daylight in eyes, subsequently appear on band s debut album elle ments (2001). both single , album became unexpected record-breaking success, when both instantly entered top position on austrian, german , swiss media control singles, albums , airplay charts, making no angels 1 of successful debuts in years.


in following years no angels released 2 number-one studio albums, ... us! , pure, live album , successful swing album branded when angels swing, totalling twelve singles altogether – including four-number 1 singles. selling more 5 million singles , albums worldwide, no angels became best-selling german girl band date , successful girl group of continental europe between years of 2001 , 2003. on 5 september 2003, 4 remaining members of band (jessica wahls had left band following birth of first child in february 2003) announced no longer performing after 3 years of continual touring , increasing cases of illness. release of best of no angels in november of same year marked end of band, each member going separate ways in 2004.


lucy joined again no angels made powerful revival. in march 2008 selected represent germany @ eurovision song contest 2008 finals in belgrade in may. honour lucy. she, however, not first bulgarian represent germany in eurovision finals. in 1964 done nora nova.
