2010–11 season

somma named in leeds united squad first time since final day of 2010–11 season when named on bench league cup tie against chelsea on 19 december 2012. somma allocated number 28 shirt season. somma made first team return second-half substitute in leeds 2-1 victory against middlesbrough on 22 december. somma scored first goal in second comeback appearance consolation goal in 4-2 loss against nottingham forest on 26 december.


somma suffered setback knee injury in february 2013, manager neil warnock revealing somma had come , scale down training.


somma returned full training in april 2013, , revealed available take part in leeds final 5 games of season under new manager brian mcdermott. somma returned leeds team in brian mcdermott s first game in charge when named on bench on 13 april against sheffield wednesday. somma made playing return substitute against burnley f.c., return short lived when revealed somma had damaged knee cartilage , required operation. latest setback put somma s future @ club in doubt contract set expire in june.


following expiry of somma s contract in summer of 2013, south african released leeds, due return club pre-season training aim of proving fitness , earning new contract, somma decided against returning.
