devassy s first major break came when aged 18, through johny sagarika, whom did music orchestration of 6 songs on album ishtamannu. went accompanying artist play keyboard hariharan on european tour. has accompanied violin maestro l. subramanian @ lakshminarayana global music festival.


at age 19, started music band called seven, singers franco simon , sangeeth pavithran. hindi pop band, released album titled yeh zindagani.


stephen, started performing @ young age, has done music arrangement many films. of films scored majaa, thambi, nammal, azhagiya thamizh magan , hariharan s album, waqt par bolna.


hariharan pilla happy aanu (2003) maiden music directorial venture in malayalam.lyrics written famous young lyricst rajeev alunkal.all songs in picture still super hits.


he 1 of regular band members in rexband, christian contemporary band singing gospel fusion, musical outreach of jesus youth movement. performed band before pope john paul ii during world youth day performance in 2002 @ canada. @ time, catholic band invited india. stephen has orchestrated instrumental version of popular rex band melodies called different vibes.


in association kosmic music, stephen has set tune background of western music, sanskrit slokas, mantras , verses upanishads, called sacred chants of kosmic music, , albums of holy chants on ganesha, shiva , vishnu.


he has assisted sarod maestro amjad ali khan album of christmas carols, breaking barriers..


he has released album romanza, mix of world music sprinkled flavor of piano. indian ragas have been treated rich use of contemporary piano. hariharan, ouseppachan , russian vocalist appeared guest artists on album.


stephen’s solo stage shows have propelled him top league of onstage performers. stephen devassy made appearances in vijay tv s music reality shows, such season 2 , season 3 of airtel super singer in amrita tv (malayalam), , josco indian voice in mazhavil manorama (malayalam), accompanying then-contestants of show, such saisharan , alka ajith.


he appears pianist in popular reality music show in mazhavil manorama television channel.
