chatham county northernmost of georgia s coastal counties on atlantic ocean. bounded on northeast savannah river, , in southwest bounded ogeechee river.


the bulk of chatham county, area northern border in line bloomingdale tybee island, located in ogeechee coastal sub-basin of ogeechee river basin. portion of county north of line located in lower savannah river sub-basin of savannah river basin, while southern fringes of chatham county located in lower ogeechee river sub-basin of ogeechee river basin.
