during final year in high school, safran formed hip-hop group raspberry cordial friend chris lumsden. played success, receiving high rotation airplay on city s community radio, playing many gigs in melbourne , coming second in rmit battle of bands competition. debut album melbourne tram, of safran apparently has hundreds of unsold cassettes in bedroom day.
