in bermuda, outflow storm produced cloudy conditions throughout island. squally conditions reported short distance west of island, though no rain reported on bermuda.


while moving erratically off east coast of florida, tropical storm edouard produced rough surf conditions , rip currents along many beaches. beachgoers , visitors advised exercise extreme caution. storm produced water levels 6 inches above normal near cape canaveral, though elsewhere wave action , storm tides not significant. despite being tropical storm @ landfall, sustained tropical storm force winds not observed. rainband ahead of storm produced 39 mph (63 km/h) wind gust @ patrick air force base, , station in st. augustine recorded wind gust of 38 mph (61 km/h). sustained winds peaked @ 31 mph (50 km/h) @ patrick air force base. edouard dropped light moderate rainfall in eastern florida, during 2 3 hour periods. highest official rainfall total peaked @ 2.5 inches (64 mm) @ orlando executive airport, though unofficial totals reached high 4.8 inches (122 mm) in rockledge. rainfall higher in western florida, peaking @ 7.64 inches (194 mm) in desoto county area near tampa reporting on 7 inches (175 mm).


moderate rainfall resulted in river flooding along st. johns river, resulting in flooding along roads in seminole county. roadway, urban, , lowland flooding reported in brevard , orange counties. roadway flooding extensive in areas, resulting in road closures in oviedo, cocoa beach, , cape canaveral. heavy rainfall in pinellas park caused heavy street flooding along intersection on u.s. highway 19. no casualties reported, , damage minor.
