the 6,543-yard, par-72, george veenker memorial golf course located 2 blocks north of iowa state campus. 18-hole course constructed in 1938 design of world-renowned golf course architect, perry maxwell (re-designer of seventh , 10th holes @ augusta national golf club in 1937). golf course built wpa , athletic council funds, , cost $122,373. course hosted conference championships in 1982 , 1989, 2 regional aiaw championships, , hosts annual iowa masters championship. hosted 1949 ncaa national championship, in arnold palmer participant.


the team practices @ newly opened $2 million golf performance center located 3 miles campus. 16-acre facility designed world renowned architech keith foster used exclusively iowa state men s , women s golf team.
