the north la union campus serves seat of dmmmsu s central administration , created in 1993 out of college of agriculture , forestry (caf), institute of veterinary medicine (ivm), institute of computer studies (ics), , institute of environmental studies (ies). college of fisheries balaoan absorbed nluc , made fisheries research , training institute (frti).


in 2002, college of agriculture , forestry split college of agriculture , institute of agroforestry , watershed management (iawm). latter formed bringing agroforestry , forestry programs of caf.


the bacnotan campus of nluc hosts 2 national institutes: sericulture research , development institute (srdi) , national apiculture research , training , development institute (nartdi).
