in 2002, college of agriculture , forestry split college of agriculture , institute of agroforestry , watershed management (iawm). latter formed bringing agroforestry , forestry programs of caf.

the bacnotan campus of nluc hosts 2 national institutes: sericulture research , development institute (srdi) , national apiculture research , training , development institute (nartdi).
