first held in 1989, lighted farm implement parade has been called nw s premier lighted parade. taking place in december, parade includes farm implements: combines, boom trucks, sprayers, swathers, grape pickers, , types of tractors decorated colorful lights. 2006 edition of event had more 70 parade entrants. a&e network once named event 1 of top 10 such parades in united states. parade first of kind in yakima valley.


darigold cheese factory

the darigold dairy fair manufactures cheese, (150 million pounds of cheese annually) noted colorful facade , circus-like decorations, included pair of cows swinging on flying trapeze. dairy fair store shut down in 2012.


sunnyside historical museum

located downtown, museum houses , displays artifacts , documents focus on daily life in sunnyside during years. building housing museum donated city robert , martha mcintosh, had purchased business family of walter c. ball & sons, local undertaking business. both among pioneering families founded sunnyside. sunnyside memorial cemetery, founded ball family, located north of town. lone structure @ location designed percy ball resemble chingford church in walthamstow, england walter c. ball , wife amelia grew together. building used house retort cremations until fell disrepair. family plots of ball family located on east side of structure.
