in april 2012, colorado northwestern community college unveiled vision initiative. part of initiative build ropes course challenge students , staff reach dreams. rangely dean of instruction, judy allred explained, “a ropes (or challenge) courses can used 3 basic purposes: recreational, educational, , therapeutic. cncc focus on using our ropes course recreational , educational purposes. participants led through elements trained facilitators. high course elements range 30 40 feet off ground , require participants harnessed safety. each time group taken on course, there must @ least 2 trained facilitators running activity.”
