the 1911 uniform replaced blue uniform exceptions noted above. 1911 khaki colored version (called khaki in west colour yellowish-brown called ochre) of blue uniform. new flat topped peaked cap had red band, tunic collar had red swallow tailed gorget patches , shoulders had red shoulder bars (see photograph opposite) indicate rank. uniform produced in wool winter , cotton summer wear.
