on may 26, 2017, mp shashi tharoor filed defamation case in delhi high court against goswami in connection republic tv s story alleged truth behind death of shashi s wife sunanda pushkar, channel claimed tharoor closely linked wife s death. on may 29, 2017, delhi high court issued notice arnab , news channel republic tv on shashi tharoor’s defamation plea, stating “bring down rhetoric.
