taralga railway station
in 1923, town visited premier sir george fuller, marking period of renewed interest , prosperity in taralga. during visit, premier unveiled war memorial honouring residents served in world war i, turned first sod construction of railway link laying foundation stone taralga co-operative dairy company s new butter factory. 25 km (16 mi) taralga railway line, constructed branch crookwell line @ roslyn opened in 1926 , closed in 1957. line has since been lifted , little remains of formation. electricity first provided in 1930s way of plant set local mr sid holt.
