founding

formerly railway arm of people s liberation army (found 1948 , became part of ministry of railways 1982). along china railway engineering corporation, both railway construction super conglomerates under ministry until 2000.


in 2003, china civil engineering construction corporation, former entity of ministry of railways, assigned china railway construction corporation subsidiary.


ipo

in preparation listing, china railway construction corporation limited incorporated in 2007 joint-stock company limited liabilities received of assets of parent company. 5 build-operate-transfer projects not included, namely chongqing tiefa suiyu highway, nanjing yangtze river tunnel, beijing tongda jingcheng highway, xianyang zhongtie road , bridge , guangdong chaojie highway. later on in 2015 crcc bought chongqing tiefa suiyu highway parent company, while 20% retained chongqing expressway co., ltd.


the company premiered on shanghai , hong kong in february 2008, raising usd 5.7 billion, making second largest ipo of year. performance poorer expected because of poor investment atmosphere united states subprime mortgage crisis , china s economic macro-control.


international markets

crcc dedicated becoming global construction company. effort achieve status apparent in 2000s when end of decade, company had 209 projects in 35 countries, in africa. 5 major overseas markets algeria, nigeria, libya, angola , saudi arabia.


in succeeding decade, crcc has branched more overseas markets , moved value chain overseas high speed rail construction. company s work in new markets seemed gather speed in europe announcement of deal construct stadium f.c. internazionale milano part of acquisition chinese investor in club acquisition did not go through , apparently stadium deal tied it.
