the vulcan built outside glasgow, in faskine, airdrie, on bank of monkland canal.


the vulcan launched in may 1819 , carried passengers between edinburgh , glasgow. later converted cargo handler , sold scrap in 1873. in 1988, replica of vulcan constructed in glasgow, , resides @ summerlee heritage park.
