diaz had stellar college career @ university of miami, earned all-american status. @ university of miami, finished 10th on school s all-time scoring list 1,477 points, including 174 three-point field goals. garnered all-big east team freshman first team honors in 2003–04 , led miami in scoring both sophomore , junior. named all-acc team in both sophomore , junior years.


los angeles clippers

diaz declared eligibility nba draft following junior year , selected los angeles clippers, 52nd overall selection in 2006 nba draft. during summers of 2006 , 2007, diaz participated team in nba summer pro league.


on august 16, 2007, diaz signed non-guaranteed contract los angeles clippers 3 years $2 million, according hoopshype.com. on october 25, diaz released @ conclusion of preseason, signing free agent contract anaheim arsenal of nbdl. through january 8, 2008, diaz averaged 16.6 points per game in 14 games, 7 starts.


on january 8, 2008, diaz signed 10-day contract clippers, in debuted against phoenix suns playing 5 minutes , registering 1 rebound. on january 18, clippers extended contract additional 10 days. through 6 games played in nba, diaz scored 5 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, , dished 1 assist in 18 minutes played. contract terminated on january 28, when team decided not offer guaranteed contract remainder of season.
