las vegas home vegas golden knights of national hockey league (nhl). golden knights owned black knight sports & entertainment, consortium led bill foley, , play @ t-mobile arena. golden knights began play during 2017–18 nhl season , became first major league professional team in las vegas.


prior golden knights, national hockey league had experience las vegas beginning in 1991, when outdoor game held in las vegas, los angeles kings facing new york rangers outside caesars palace in preseason exhibition game. carried thorough years annual preseason exhibition game called frozen fury held @ mgm grand garden arena. league has held nhl awards ceremonies after each season since 2009.
