history
formation: 2007–2009

the band founded in 2007 singer máté fodor , guitarist Ádám huszár in körmend. first ep recorded gábor szeifert on bass , drummer zsolt mihály, titled butterflies ep . ep found karmatronic, founder of karmatronic records, , afterwards, soulwave released band s first single titled lonely, , subsequently contracted prepare song, not issued. first video clip of song lonely.


first album , troubles: 2010–2012

in 2010, first album released, titled 1 night stand. first shows rock , roll , blues influence important element in soulwaves music. album, however, did not bring major success, , due band forced shorter breaks, never officially announced. fodor , mihály still performed together, virtually , temporarily ceased soulwave band.


changes: 2012–2015

after returning hiatus, fodor , ocho macho member andrás németh revived soulwave , worked actively. after number of domestic , foreign concerts, swedish substream records announced on band s new ep, 1975, began show soulwaves contemporary influences. ep critically acclaimed in hungary, , subsequent singles, can t loved , gimme gimme, both debuted on petőfi radio. subsequently, band has performed in several countries , made domestic debut @ festivals , senior clubs. first television appearances in 2014 on magyar televízió show szerencseszombat , petőfi radio , mr2 akusztik entitled on live radio.


record deal , dal 2017: 2015–present

soulwave in 2016


domestic interest increased in soulwave, released first hungarian-language song, szélcsend, debuted on petőfi radio , topped @ 27th place on national music charts, had decisive influence on band s decision further record hungarian songs. soulwave signed recording contract universal music group, main music publisher of hungary. first single under universal mindent elhittem hit. video clip on viva tv local chart ranked sixth best music video 2015. followed kalandor, instantly became hit , simultaneously topped charts again. kalandor entry dal 2017, national selection hungary in eurovision song contest 2017. have progressed finals.
