hayner continued compete mid-carder before going on tour wcw s working partner new japan pro wrestling (njpw) during month of october, competed established greats such shinjiro otani , koji kanemoto. njpw booker riki choshu huge supporter of hayner. hayner returned wcw television participant in world war 3 @ eponymous pay-per-view on november 23. float around lower mid-card several years, because of alleged romantic link between hayner , wife of upper level wcw executive. hayner denied allegations, rumor persisted.
