youth development

aron started youth career @ local club, fjölnir, in reykjavik, iceland. in 2005, moved breiðablik 1 season, heading former club following year. spent 2007–08 school year playing in u.s. soccer development academy img academy squad based in bradenton, florida,


fjölnir

aron made debut fjölnir in 2008 Úrvalsdeild season. became regular in side following year, making total of 37 league appearances club , scoring 13 goals in process. 12 of scored in last season fjölnir, when voted both best , promising player of first division. on top of top scorer of league.


agf aarhus

aron attracted attention foreign clubs during second full season fjölnir, moving agf aarhus in late august 2010. following fine performance in agf s 3–2 win @ viborg ff on april 16, 2011, chosen 1 of team s starting strikers. aron played remaining games agf in season, helping team promotion superliga. first goal agf came in away match in danish 1st division against hvidovre if on april 28, 2011.


he made debut in danish superliga on july 18, 2011 in 2–1 win against lyngby bk. after 15 goalless matches, scored first goal in superliga in away match against sønderjyske on november 7, 2011, securing 1–1 result.


aron set new record august 27, 2012 when scored fastest hattrick ever in danish superliga, completing hattrick in 3 minutes , 50 seconds against ac horsens; scored fourth goal of match, giving agf 1–4 victory. took him 16 minutes score 4 goals, record in superliga.


az alkmaar

aron joined az on january 29, 2013. scored first goal club on april 14, 2013.


on august 11, 2013, aron scored penalty spot in 3–2 win on reigning eredivisie champions ajax. against sparta rotterdam scored hat trick in dutch cup on september 25. 3 days later, scored winning goal in 2–1 win on psv eindhoven. on october 20, aron netted brace az came goal record 3-1 win.


werder bremen
2015–16 season , long injury layoff

on august 5, 2015, aron underwent medical , signed werder bremen on four-year deal, fee reported in region of €5 million. ten days later, on august 15, made debut replacing levin Öztunalı after 57 minutes in werder s first match of 2015–2016 bundesliga season, 0–3 home defeat schalke. made full debut week later in 1–1 draw away hertha berlin on second matchday of season, before scoring first goal werder in team s 2–1 defeat of borussia mönchengladbach on august 30, 2015, converting penalty 1–0. picked second goal @ darmstadt on september 22, opening goal in 2–1 defeat.


in october, aron diagnosed nerve irritation in right hip werder bremen announced treat in conservative manner , keep him out of action minimum of 3 weeks. on october 28, underwent hip surgery leave him unable play coming weeks . however, after multiple attempts @ comeback, season ruled on club ceo thomas eichin on march 24. coming club high expectations, aron wasn t able prove worth during first season. made 6 appearances before season-ending injury, scoring 2 goals.


2016–17 season

after being expected miss beginning of 2016–17 season well, aron started in opening match, 6–0 defeat away bayern munich, returning after eleven-month layoff. scored first goal of campaign in second appearance, converting penalty in 1–2 defeat augsburg. following week, in substitute appearance against mönchengladbach, aron assisted serge gnabry s goal. however, sent off cursing, in english, @ referee, banned 2 matches , fined €8,000. in days following incident, aron claimed misheard, when tried explain referee version, said referee stayed opinion . in addition, manager viktor skrypnyk s last game in charge, before sacked , replaced reserve manager alexander nouri. following aron s suspension, began losing playing time young center forward ousman manneh, , acknowledged @ end of suspension return starting lineup not simple .
