plot
act i

gabor falls in love turkish girl, leila. gypsy friend mujko enter sacred garden in mosque of gül baba. take rose leila. guards of mosque arrest him, because taking sacred rose crime. pasha ali, wants marry leila, sentences him death. gabor s last wish leila in garden until darkness.


act ii

gül baba finds gabor student , wants save life. intervenes on gabor s behalf pasha. pasha agrees, if leila wife. leila accepts because wants save gabor, gabor attacks pasha knife. seems lost! gül baba destroys rose garden , says pasha done allah, angry because of strict sentence.


act iii

the pasha ali afraid of allah , gives pardon gabor. gül baba regrets destruction of garden. however, leila promises him young couples go hundreds of years tomb give him rose.
