in 2005, newtek introduced tricaster, product merges live video switching, broadcast graphics, virtual sets, special effects, audio mixing, recording, social media publishing , web streaming integrated, portable , compact appliance. tricaster announced @ demo@15 , launched @ nab 2005. @ nab 2006, newtek announced tricaster pro, introduced professional video , audio connections , virtual sets (using proprietary newtek liveset technology) tricaster line. @ nab 2007, newtek introduced tricaster studio, first tricaster support 6 cameras. @ nab 2008, newtek introduced tricaster broadcast, first model deliver sdi video , audio support. in 2009, newtek introduced 3play, portable multi-channel hd/sd slow motion replay system. @ nab 2009, newtek introduced tricaster tcxd300, first high definition tricaster. @ nab 2010, newtek introduced tricaster tcxd850, 22-channel high definition model in rack mount form factor. tcxd850 won 4 industry awards: winners circle award, star, vidy , black diamond awards eventdv, tv technology, videography , dv magazines, respectively, @ nab 2010.


in 2004, newtek released source code of amiga platform products.


in 2015, newtek announced network device interface (ndi®) protocol allows applications , devices transport high quality, low latency video on gigabit ethernet networks. protocol available public products starting in 2016. in 2017, version 3 of protocol released, adds multicast support, high efficiency mode called ndi-hx , other new features.

tricaster xd400 series, rackmount unit 4 sd/hd sdi video inputs (460 model includes analog video support)
