these 2 tables serve quick mapping of arbitrary chess960 starting position (short: sp) @ white s base row random number between 0 , 959. first search same or nearest smaller number king s table. determine difference (0 15) drawn number , select matching bishops positioning bishop s table. according first place both bishops @ first base row, 6 pieces in sequence of found row of king s table upon 6 free places left over. black pieces placed symmetrically white s base row.
