derry

the derry city area has population of 110,000, greater hinterland of 350,000 served both rail , bus services provided public transport company translink. there 15 bus routes serving parts of city. routes cover parts of city except culmore area. served until april 2014 lough swilly bus fleet, had monopoly on route due licensing rights dvlni. service run ulsterbus foyle. various surrounding towns , villages around city, there ulsterbus services travelling city centre.


the city serviced waterside station on belfast-derry line serves belfast central , belfast great victoria street, running via coleraine (for coleraine-portrush railway line portrush) , antrim. railway line upgraded track relay , planned passing loops installed


galway

the city of galway has population of 70,000 , there 2 companies providing bus services throughout city – bus Éireann , galway city direct. there 16 bus routes serving city , suburbs altogether – bus Éireann operates 11 routes, while galway city direct runs 5 routes.
