in 2007, american music conference listed mt. lebanon high school 1 of best 100 communities music education . mount lebanon percussion ensemble invited nhl perform @ 2011 nhl winter classic on live tv country. high school s chamber string orchestra, string orchestra, , symphony orchestra played @ carnegie hall in 1998, 2004, , 2015.

the mt. lebanon forensic team won western pennsylvania district forensic championship 4 years in row, beginning in 2001. in 2004, team won state championship in dramatic interpretation , extemporaneous speaking , earned second-place title in extemporaneous speaking @ national competition in salt lake city. in 2006, team captured pennsylvania high school speech league championship,
