in 1875, became co-founder of museum of industry , agriculture in warsaw (whose vice-president remain until 1913). same year, joined committee of warsaw arts academy, zachęta. ran architectural competition under auspices in 1878 design parish church mill town of Żyrardów, donated land. arts academy, sponsored scholarships young artists. involved in stanisław moniuszko music society, raised funds aid impoverished composer.

sobański financed extensive portfolio of church , other buildings , monuments, such in radziwiłłów, chapel in guzów, restorations in obodówka , wiskitki, paying 3 marble altars brought italy church of st. augustine in warsaw or restoration of sigismund s column. funded travel bursaries seminarians studying priesthood in warsaw. rewarded in 1880 hereditary title of nobility pope leo xiii.
